Enbridge has 19 wind farms in operation or under construction, with a total net generation capacity of 1,643 megawatts.
Utilities and power
Enbridge Gas delivers safe, reliable service to approximately 3.7 million residential, commercial, institutional and industrial customers in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and New York State. Enbridge Gas is also the largest utility in in North America by volume, distributing more than 2.5 Bcf/d (billion cubic feet per day) of natural gas.
Our company's natural gas distribution network also includes ownership interests in:
- Enbridge Gas New Brunswick, which holds the natural gas distribution franchise in the province of New Brunswick
- St. Lawrence Gas, which serves residential, commercial, and industrial customers in upstate New York
- Gazifère, one of two natural gas distributors in Quebec, which serves more than 43,000 customers in the Outaouais region
- Énergir LP (formerly known as Gaz Métro Limited Partnership), a Quebec-based natural gas distribution company with interests in subsidiary companies operating gas transmission, gas distribution and power distribution businesses in Quebec and Vermont
Enbridge Gas has been delivering energy for 170 years, and its network currently consists of 148,800 kilometers (92,500 miles) of gas distribution mainlines and service lines. Our natural gas distribution operations also feature 278.7 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of net working storage, largely at the Dawn Hub in southwestern Ontario.
Enbridge's renewable energy portfolio includes onshore and offshore wind, solar and geothermal projects in North America and Europe.
We have about 1,750 megawatts (MW) of net renewable generation capacity, based on projects in operation or under construction—enough energy to power nearly 700,000 homes.
Enbridge's solar investments can power more than 15,000 homes a year, based on net generation figures.
